What toWear to My Flight?

Flying has to be one of the most exciting moments! You made sure you packed everything, you had all your documentation & you planned each outfit to the detail. But did you think of your look for the actual flight?

Well, I know it’s not the most important thing by any means, and some people really don’t care. However, I kind of really enjoy putting together something I like while feeling cozy & comfy, especially if flying for some long hours. If you are the same way but unsure of how to pull it off, here is a spoiler alert: it doesn’t imply only wearing sweatpants & sweatshirts! So this is not only another perfect opportunity to showcase your style, but hey, also to make your packing more efficient by wearing some key pieces while flying. There are a couple items you can rely on to fly not only comfortably but also without compromising on chicness & functionality, and we would love to share them with you. You don't need to use them all and they don't always apply all the time. You just have to choose the ones that best suit your travel needs and your personal style.

Go for matching sets

There is no other simpler, quicker & comfier fit than a matching set! You can either do an athleisure or a cotton one that usually consists of stretchy, breathable pants & a cozy long sleeved top part. You already got comfort covered so the key here to elevate it are accessories (keep reading, we will deep into that in this article)!

Focus on accessories!

Just like we said -many times- before, accessories are the key to take any outfit to the very next level! Of course, since we are traveling you want to pick them wisely to not only look cute & fashionable but also to be practical & easy to wear. Let’s break down our favorite ones:

Longchamp monogram bag

This is definitely one of the favorite bags to travel for many! It's roomy, comfortable, and the perfect size to count as a personal item! Plus, it's designed to be folded and packed, which is always very much appreciated! Get a color you love so you can also wear it all around the city when traveling.

This season brought so many amazing bags with it, Miu Miu is definitely one of our favorite brands!

Polo cap

Caps not only add a cool and casual touch to any outfit, they are also the perfect airport accessory (especially for long flights when you need a little extra help to keep your hair in place).

You'll find them in many styles, but one of the ones I like the most for its versatility, minimalism and perfect balance between urban and chic, are the Polo ones!

Headphones

Can we even think of traveling without headphones? I don't think so. The best of all is that if you want to, they can become just another accessory! If that's your case, bigger, brighter and more eye-catching headphones are what you'll want to go for. They won't fail to give your look an urban, relaxed and hip twist.

Headbands & hair clips

Such a must when traveling! You do not want to forget to carry with you something to keep your hair out of your face but also to add a little pop of color or fun to any outfit! You can play with these accessories and find a couple that can even work as a little embellishment for your bag (have you seen Linoya’s floral hair clip attached to her purse?!).

And lastly, an oldie but a goldie: wear your heaviest & comfiest

This one goes perfect for when you are traveling with only a carry-on & a personal item! Usually your heaviest pieces would be your combat boots, some pairs of sneakers, trench coats, and some pants. If any of these is comfy for you, then go ahead and wear them to fly! My go-to outfit usually implies either my boots or platform sneakers and my trench, and I like to combine them with black leggins, oversized t-shirts, and a lightweight sweater if it’s too cold. For shorter flights, I would go ahead and wear my stretchy jeans.
